Night Clerk -Blackfalds Motor Inn

The Blackfalds Motor Inn, located at 5201 Highway Avenue, Blackfalds, AB, is seeking a permanent full-time Night clerk to join its staff. This position is available to be filled immediately. Specific duties include: Register arriving guests and assign rooms Use the hotel computerized reservation system to maintain inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments Provide guest services and resolve any guest complaints or concerns Prepare invoices for guests checking-out next day Answer phone, email or text inquiries Report any issues with hotel facilities or equipment to the Supervisor Process payments from guests at the front desk Other duties related to front desk operations Perform overnight night audit procedures, including compiling, verifying, and checking daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts, and vouchers using the hotel's property management system. Specific requirements of the job include: Ability to work well in a fast paced environment, Standing for long periods of time during their shift; meet the physical demands of typical hotel work Be capable of interacting with customers in English Have good knowledge of The Blackfalds Motor Inn offerings Be capable of addressing customer concerns or complaints in a reasonable manner Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, client focus, and good oral communication with customers and fellow staff members Education and Experience Required: Secondary School Graduation Certificate required Previous experience would be an asset The selected candidate must have their own mode of transportation to & from work, and shall be required to provide a clean Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of work.
